Insurance
At San Francisco Child Psychiatry, we offer three payment options.
With an Insurance we Accept
If we accept your insurance, then the cost of your appointment will be determined by your plan. Patients will be responsible for:
Co-Pay (or Co-Insurance) - a set amount a patient pays every visit
Deductible - a fixed amount that the patient (or family) must pay before insurance covers the cost of services. For example, if your deductible is $1000, insurance will not cover services until you have paid $1000 for care. This may mean that the family or patient must pay for the first few appointments before insurance kicks in. Sometimes deductibles can be thousands of dollars, so please be aware of what yours is.
Single Case Agreement
Insurance companies are required by law to provide all people in California with mental healthcare within 15 business days. We know, we were shocked too, but it’s true. If an insurance company cannot find a provider in their network, then they are required to make a special agreement with a provider out of network called a “Single Case Agreement”. San Francisco Child Psychiatry is happy to offer care through Single Case Agreements. Please let us know if you would like to pursue this option
Cash Pay
For those who do not have insurance or who have an insurance we don’t accept, we offer flat cash rates for our services:
60 min Intake (Adult): $690
120 min Intake (Child): $1380 (broken up into 2, 60 min appointments)
30 min follow up: $350
60 min follow up: $690
Payment is due at the time of service for cash paying patients.
Financial assistance is available on a limited basis, so if cost is a concern, please let us know.
